Sometimes what we see isn’t the reality.
That clear skin could just be layers of concealer
Those beautiful eyes could just be coloured contact lens
That cute button nose could just be plastic surgery
That “perfect” body could just be edited.
But,
What if I told you that you don’t need any of this? You don’t need to hide your flaws?
What if I told you that your face doesn’t define you.
Each scar, each wrinkle, each “imperfection”, tells a story of who you are, where you’ve been, and what you’ve survived.
Eat what you want to eat, wear what you want to wear, be the way you want to be, but do it because it makes YOU happy. Do it for yourself.
The standards of beauty are arbitrary and ever-changing. Remember when freckles were seen as imperfections? Today, some people use makeup to draw them on. Or when full lips weren’t the beauty standard, but now they’re coveted and celebrated? Beauty standards evolve and what’s “in” today might be “out” tomorrow.so instead just do whatever you want.
So, DON’T BE BEAUTIFUL. Be your own definition of amazing
